With rising awareness of environmental, social and governance issues in the public realm, profitability is no longer the only concern of businesses. Firms nowadays must take extra steps to improve their sustainable footprint such as through deal selection or CSR programmes. As companies shift focus onto sustainability topics, traditional and physical risks should also be considered and mitigated based on variegated business natures.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Participants are required to select ONE of the two streams:
i) Own start-up idea
ii) Enhancement of an existing company
Participants are also required to propose new business ideas with high sustainability value and relevant to the chosen business in their stream. Business in any industry is acceptable. Difficulties in the existing market or business should be addressed first. Regardless of the stream selected, the possible business solutions, market, model, risk, impact on the business field, customers, or other aspects, are suggested to be introduced and analysed. Participants should evaluate their business ideas in different sustainability metrics.
